Virtofy 1.2

Posted: August 1, 2024

We are excited to announce that Virtofy 1.2 is now available. We have put significant effort and creativity into this release. Below are the newest features and improvements.

Guided mode

If a VR headset is connected to a PC, Virtofy now offers a Guided mode. In this mode, the PC user can control everything for the connected VR headset, making it easy to present to users without the need for controllers.

VR Tunneling

When VR mode is active, you can enable the tunneling feature, which helps prevent motion sickness when moving the VR camera without actual physical movement. You can choose the size of the tunneling effect in the VR settings menu.

Improved VR View Direction Reset and Restoring

You can now always recenter your VR view direction via the camera menu. Additionally, the VR headset retains the last seen direction for a new user when exchanging the VR headset. This makes transitions seamless and ensures everyone knows what and where to focus. This feature is especially helpful during larger presentations, such as at exhibitions where the headset is exchanged multiple times.

Improved Steam-VR Compatibility

We have enhanced Steam streaming and controller compatibility. Virtofy now supports most Steam-compatible VR headsets and streaming apps for Meta Quest ( Steam Link ) and Pico 4 compatible devices ( Pico Link ).

Further Improvements

We have put a lot of effort into fixing bugs and adding new features to Virtofy. For more details, please see the changelog .
