The Virtofy Cloud

Today, let us give you a little insight into the development of our Virtofy cloud, on which we have been working for a while.

Virtofy is about sharing your virtual presentations: with multiple users, on multiple devices and operating systems, from anywhere. The tours can be simple or complex and may contain a variety of data, like 3D, video, images, audio and more.

A robust and flexible cloud infrastructure became one of our top priorities. Because a professional cloud system is about so much more than just uploading some files into a cloud. It has to improve a user’s workflow effectively. So from server infrastructure to user management, user interface & user experience, many parts of the Virtofy system had to be designed accordingly.

The effort was worth it. The Virtofy cloud can now handle all kinds of virtual tours and data, as well as many users. It is easily scalable, not only regarding the amount of users, but also to fit each user’s specific needs. Your user data is synced and hosted in Germany on high performance servers to handle all data of your tour smoothly, from a simple 3D model of a screw to a complete building including all kinds of media.

What does that mean for you? You can start editing your tour in the office and finish it on your computer at home, without worrying if you are missing any data. When finished, you can share it with others instantly. Everybody gets the same experience, regardless if on mobile, desktop or in VR. And in case, you want to edit your tour again, you can do that with no worries: all users you shared the tour with receive the update immediately. No old or double versions on any user’s device.
